On the morning of September 12, Andrei Hauryliuk, Vice President of Belarusian State Technological University (BSTU), visited our university. Luo Xueke, president of Beijing Institute of Petrochemical Technology (BIPT), gave a warm reception, and the two sides carried out a discussion and exchange on the cooperation between the two universities. Zhu Jialei, Dean of the School of Mechanical Engineering, Liu Xuejun, vice dean of the School of Information Engineering, Huang Jianping, Deputy Director of Foreign Affairs Office, and other relevant personnel attended the meeting.

Luo Xueke welcomed the visit of Vice President Andrei Hauryliuk and briefly introduced the basic situation and educational philosophy of our university. He said that BIPT and BSTU have similar educational philosophy and development vision, and both deeply cultivate professional fields of machinery, chemical industry, information and other disciplines, hoping to establish cooperative relations with BSTU, and look forward to fruitful exchanges and cooperation results in the future cooperation between the two schools.

Vice President Andrei Hauryliuk introduced the situation of BSTU, which has a long history and expertise in engineering. It pays special attention to letting students learn in practice, insists on close cooperation with enterprises, sends students to enterprises for internships and experiments, and promotes the combination of university teaching and enterprise practice. Vice President Andrei Hauryliuk is looking forward to working with our university and sharing experiences in future collaborations.

Zhu Jialei and Liu Xuejun respectively introduced the situation of the School of Mechanical Engineering and the School of Information Engineering, and conducted extensive and in-depth exchanges on the professional settings, school-enterprise cooperation, international exchange experience and other contents.

After the meeting, Vice President Andrei Hauryliuk, accompanied by President Luo Keke, visited Beijing Key Laboratory of Optomechanics Equipment Technology, Electrical Engineering Laboratory of the School of Information Engineering, Pharmaceutical Engineering Laboratory of the School of New Materials and Chemical Engineering, Chuangyuan Practical Center and Library.

On September 12, when the class of 2024 freshmen registered, the campus was buzzing with activities. Vice President Andrei Hauryliuk praised the orderly and diverse forms of freshman registration on the campus. This visit laid the foundation for further exchanges and cooperation between BSTU and BIPT.
